OpenATV Brightness Issue on 4K/UHD Channels

I have a VU Uno 4K running OpenATV 6.4

When I go to a 4K/UHD channel, the image automatically dims and it doesn't look as bright as a normal SD/HD channel.

I've looked at my TV image settings and the brightness is up to max.

Is there something in the OpenATV box I need to change?

Have a search on YouTube for guides to get the best picture settings for your particular model of TV. Had the same issue with a Phillips TV but worked through it in about 10 minutes messing with settings.

The brightness isn't an issue if I watch 4K on Netflix or if I stream a 4K video from my NAS server.

That's why I find it strange that it happens on the Enigma box, and wondered if anyone else encountered the same.
 
I have also a Sony Bravia and is on Max brightness but using VIX IMAGE.
When going from hd 1080 to 4K mine self adjusts picture but its ok to look at.

I do wish at times it could go brighter or more contrast to see it better

It happens on my Hitachi tv also
