I bet they are costly though? I've just bought this router with openwrt flashed to it for £25Get a gaming router which very few mention using as they are built for vpn use with quick speeds.
That's probably true but the main reason for doing all this is to run IPTV through my smart TV without any extra hardware, however its not possible to use a vpn on smart tv unless it's an android TV which mine isn't.Isn't wireguard just a protocol like udp or openvpn.
I've been on surfshark for a long time now and not long ago on a normal update it said wireguard has been added which made things so much faster.
I have tried using various routers and never had much success, you are always better off installing onto the device as @mike123 says.
Just bought onefirestick4k with dedicated vpn app you will get nearly full speed and currently on offer at most retailers @£29.99
Probably a bit of overkill spending £150+ when you only have 50 meg download speeds.Get a gaming router which very few mention using as they are built for vpn use with quick speeds.
I've ordered a firestick now thanksJust get a 4k firestick in black Friday sales then buy the amazon ethanet adaptor for £13 connect ethanet adaptor to Firestick plug ethanet into adaptor then other end of ethanet in router and have direct speeds from router.
Just install the nord apk onto firestick then turn on as and when needed imo.
Plus would save you on about £80—£90 quid on buying a gaming vpn router
