Pausing Live TV & Miracle Box query

Hi,

I have updated my old kryptview and have that working, but new to most of this and done a lot of reading.

Been looking at the dual version of the miraclebox, 2 x cable and would like to know if this will "pause live tv" if I get a fixed hard drive with it please, as well as the kingston usb for the channel guide.

Appreciate any guidance
Cheers,
Nev

Yes the box will be able to pause live tv with just one tuner if you have hard drive plugged in. With 2 tuners u can watch and record at the same time.

Also you won't need a separate usb drive for the epg data if u already have a hard drive attached.

I went for the vu+ solo se v2 dual dvbc myself, yes it doesn't have an internal hdd, but it can run full kodi, which is a game changer for me, and I just plug it into an external hdd.

no the xtrend models are fine and in germany equal to vu boxes, kodi is a iptv program like ts media ,apple2 hacked box but in plugins usually called kodidirect not the full kodi.
sports movies porn and many other things for streaming all from the internet.

On vu boxes you will get full kodi not kodidirect. The plugin is called vupluskodi. Have a Google about kodi, but it can be set up to basically be Netflix, but with all the latest films too.

I also believe the vu solo se v2 is actually cheaper then the miracle box dual tuner.

dont fancy putting it on a vu solo or duo more likely kill the boxes lol.
Runs perfectly on my box solo se v2. Why would it kill the box?

I think cacti meant the original (old) solo and duo. They can't cope because they don't have the hardware power. The new boxes like the solo 2, duo 2 and solo se v2 have enough "juice" to run the full kodi application.

so would you recommend the miracke box over the solo se please?

I don't have a cable box but my mate wants one so I've been lurking around here trying to pick up ideas on what type of box to get and how to install one.

Because my mate wants to record one channel and watch another, I was looking around at WOS and I too was looking at the miracle box. The reason I recommended the miracle over the vu to him was because of the internal hard drive, to me it just seemed more logical.

Now in your case, if you want the hard drive to be within the box then go for the miracle but if you don't care and you have an external hard drive then go for the solo se v2. Also the specs are really similar so they are both capable boxes. That's just my personal view.

yikes thats massive, how big are the tv files, films, my tivo box is 500gb and thats never more than 50% full
