Can someone help please I have a Philips car400 9022 213 96752 01 S/N 00398111871548 WA019811...

post the serial number stamped on the side of radio something like GM0400xxxxxxxx

The 14 digit serial number as aloysius states is etched into the casing of the CD or cassette player, to locate this you will need to remove the unit. You should use either Autoleads PC5-83 or PC5-110 radio release keys. If your code is not available for free you can get the code from us. thank you for replying i have posted all the numbers which are on the top cover but what i noticed with a few websites if i start of with gm at the begining and don't put the last 2 digits they have come back and accepted the serial number.

You would need to remove the whole unit from the vehicle to locate the serial number beginning with GM.

Thankyou for help again but i have the tape player in my hand there are no gm numbers others details are Philips N0=00 532 s21 Type=CAR 400 2F3 made in Germany
