recording are just a black screen?

the storage location and everything is set up my 2TB drive but when I come to watch something I've recorded, like the magic weekend yesterday, it was just black screens then exited after a few seconds.

anyone experienced this before or know of a fix? tried searching but couldn't come up with anything.


EDIT: Pretty sure I've figured the problem out, one of the sat cables had been bent up around the inside of the screw. reheaded the cable and i reckon thats it sorted.

Sounds like you fixed it - probably just recording a blank screen because the lead wasn't in properly so no signal = no picture

Easier to do on shotgun cable as the wires are thinner than older coax.
 
Sorry for late reply! Yeah it's fully working now, silly mistake on my part. Yeah the recording were like a crazy amount of numbers if i tried fast forwarding before it closed itself off.
