Using an 8gb to record football and playback is really jumpy - it has been formatted. Any ideas how to resolve ?

Does your line provider cover a twin tuner receiver?
Is the flash drive a good quality one?

Yes twin tuner both connected , it records but the playback is really jumpy , the usb stick is emtec 8gb , no idea if a good make

Maybe try a new one. A Sandisk extreme is a good one

Slow usb stick probably. I'd buy a usb 3 stick. Prices of them in recent weeks have seen them in freefall (check My Memory or Amazon for the price of 64gb ones!)
Yes the zgemma only had usb2 sockets but by buying a branded usb3 device you are pretty much guaranteed a fast read / write speed.
