With the known Gmail notification bug in the latest Android for the Huawei P8 and other phones like the Nexus I have posted instruction son how to roll back to lollipop from marshmallow:
1) Goto this webiste: Huawei-Info - P8 MM Rollback
2) Download these 2 files:
a) GRA-L09 Rollback-Datei
Huawei-Info, 177 MB, Zip
MD5: 9ac71084bb0dd7bf542c41cc4e0004fb
b) Download GRA_L09_Europe_GRA-L09_C432B200 Full Version
Zip, 1,7 GB, Mega
md5: 50bbc81de40ee8ef4038169fd923838b
3) extract the first file (GRA-L09 Rollback-Datei) and copy the folder "dload" to your SD card
4) Enter your Dialer and type in the following: *#*#2846579#*#*
5) This will enter a new menu, Select Option 4: Software Upgrade. Then Select Option 1: SDCard Upgrade. Click OK when prompted
The phone wil reboot and install the first update, wait untill the phone has fully updated and finished. It will now still be on Marshmallow so heres how to downgrade to lollipop
1) Open your SD card and delete the folder dload
2) extract the second downloaded file (Download GRA_L09_Europe_GRA-L09_C432B200 Full Version) and copy the folder "dload" to your SD card
4) Enter your Dialer and type in the following: *#*#2846579#*#*
5) This will enter a new menu like before, Select Option 4: Software Upgrade. Then Select Option 1: SDCard Upgrade. Click OK when prompted
The phone wil reboot and install the second update, wait untill the phone has fully updated and finished. Now you will have to setup your phone all over again as thought it was a new phone. Once you have setup your Region, Wi-Fi and google account then phone will be done and you are now back on Android 5.0.1 and getting Gmail alerts.
