Run Sky + Box & BM5000 together? possible?

I've set up my BM5000, but can I run a sky box too?
I have 2 Sat inputs into Sky+ (for rec/watch), but have pinched one for the BM.
At the minute the Sky+ box says no signal.

Is it possible to run both off the same satellite dish?

I'm only asking as the wife obv prefers the Sky + and doesn't like change.......

ur sky box is set up as two lnbs ( watch one record one )

you need 2 feeds for sky box and one for the bm

so 3/4 from the dish

If you can reach the dish without much problem just get a quad lnb and some cable and couple F plugs

How do i replace the lnb.Does it simply clip on.

Would a cable splitter do it or would there be too much signal loss?

I had a Sky+ box with twin LNB inputs. One I have now connected to my Blade box, but because I like to use the Sky EPG, the other input is to the Sky+ box. It does actually work with only one input, but you will need to try connecting to the second input if the first doesn't work. However, with this set up, recording channels would not be possible.

Hi, google " SKY+ single feed mode" you need to set up your SLY+ box in single feed mode, you will lose the option to of twin tuners though as it will work like a normal sky box but that records, hth.

Skybox running sweet for the wife, n the BM for me.
Just connect one feed to skybox in line 1, and change to single feed on your settings (Google it), then connect your old 2nd line from skybox to the bm.
No picture probs so far.
So impressed with the BM, best 80 notes I've spent.
