Share Laptop's Internet Connection with Openbox S10

I have a USB modem for my Windows 7 laptop's internet connection. Theoretically i believe i can share this connection with my decoder through a crossover cable. Anyone with experience on this?

You would be better getting a suitable wireless router that can use your usb dongle ( I assume thats what you mean by usb modem?) as its internet connection then simply add either wired or wireless devices to it, just as you would any other wireless router.

Bear in mind however that using a usb dongle based internet connection for c/s can prove troublesome due to latency issues.

Hi Guys, I have the same problem. So, can anyone explain to me how a make the connection between my laptop and my openbox s11, and also if I require a wireless router to do this. Which one's are suitable??

I've just managed to do this with S11 and XP.
If you download the program at connectify.me
You can then try the pro version for a week to try it.
If you seet the "Share Over and Sharing Mode" to your ethernet port.
Connect via a normal ethernet cable and it works.
