sky lose la liga rights

Ive just been reading this morning that sky have lost the rights to show la liga from next season.
Eleven sports has got the contract,
problem is that eleven sports are not on sat or cable in uk, so a few people could be disappointed by sky losing out.

beIN Sports has La Liga Games By the Shed Load, along with many many other Sources..
The world does not revolve just around Sly...

Bein sports only has 2 channels with English Commentary unfortunately, don't bother some people but does most

Also im sure Eleven sports will become available on sly and Virgin and Bt has the already have 2 or 3 channels running in France, Poland, Taiwain, Usa, Just to name a few.

But at what cost? it looks like some fans wanting it will need to shell out about £13 a month extra.

This is the main problem every costing more, but there are other channels that show la liga and other methods to view them.

I agree there are other ways to watch, but for a legit paying sky customer who wants to watch la liga its more money out of their pocket each month.
so for a full package they will be paying over £100 a month :mad:

Yes mate you are correct and on top of that bt sports are having a ppv boxing channel soon so makes it even more expensive.

You don't buy the rights to a country and don't broadcast, unless Eleven will sub lease the rights to sky or bt.

The owner of eleven sports is also the owner of Leeds united, they already have a iptv service running in the uk in LUTV.

Rumour has it that Eleven will openly allow BT and Sky etc to bid for the rights to show the Liga matches thereby making a rather large profit without the effort of televising themselves.This will normally allow Sky to raise prices and recoup their outlay so no losers except the punters as usual.
