Sky making me pay for mayweather fight when I never ordered it!

Hi everyone,

hope you guys can help/advice me.

sky are accusing me of ordering the mayweather pacquio fight when 100% I know I never. Just me and the Mrs living with me and she definately wouldn't have ordered it.

They're going to investigate it now some how but I'm just wondering if you guys have ever experienced this and how this may have happened.

Ask them for a copy of the Phone call when you ordered it Call there bluff and insist on it
 
It could have been an agent took the wrong account number down, or something simple like that. Like it is said above, just stand your ground - No way, we won't pay!!

The Sky advisor was stating that it was order via the sky+HD box

could be possible someone has got or cloned my sky card details and ordered that way??

Well that is odd if i remember on the advert for the fight you had to phone them I would stick to my guns and say I Did not order the fight You did not watch the fight , you have no intensions of paying for the fight And if they carry on trying to make you pay tell them you are writing to the Ombudsman services
 
Apparantely I am not the only one that has been charged for ppv,movies,porn channel,etcc.....just checked on sky forum and there are LOADS of people that have been charged when they have never ordered anything.

i can only put it down to 2 things.

1. Hackers have figured out a way to purchase using genuine customers account for their own viewing pleasure
2. Sky are just simplying lieing and are pretty certain customers can't prove otherwise so why not charge them anyway.
 
I would go with no 2 You reading that gives you the ammo to to question them If they try and insist its your fault try and get other names and email address,s and then threaten them with a group action
 
Received call back from sky regarding this issue and they just said they have taken the charge off the bill.

That is all fine and well, but are they giving you a reason? Like, for instance, we made a boo boo, and are very sorry, and to compensate you, here is one month free/ half price (or some other such deal)
I know all you really wanted was them to knock it off the bill, but an apology goes some way to taking the sting out of the hassle you went through.
 
They had left a voicemail on my mrs phone twice to update here about the situation....my mrs rang back and the lady who rang twice was not there, but her colleague said the notes here are saying the charge has been taken off and that was it.

but my mrs is still going to call there mangers tomorrow as the initial sky advisor was accusing me that I must have ordered it and forgot to tell my wife!

lets see if they offer anything.
 
The mrs phoned and threatened to leave sky because the advisor wrongfully accused for ordering it...they have end up giving 3 months half price line rental.
