Splitter location

I'm looking to get my brother a zgemma H2H for Christmas. He has VM TV & BB, but I don't know the cabling layout. Would I be OK splitting the TV feed at the back of the TiVo or would it be best replacing his current splitter with a 3-way?

What ever is the easiest and works. You could always change the splitter after trying it the other way first. :-)

i have same sort of VM set up, swapped my 2 way splitter for a 3 way splitter 2 years ago, never had a problem
