Splitting signal on cable to H2H

hi

been playing with a h2h today and using a 2 way split from outside feed, it all works fine, but then 3 way it all breaks up - I guess there is no way around this? an amplified splitter? do they exist? or does it need adjusting at the source? or could the 3 way splitter be rubbish?
 
thanks - have you just used a powered aerial signal booster or a specific v media one? if you could let me know what you used ill grab one

I will be home within hour mate and i will look for a model number for you i no it white with the vm logo on it.
