transfering recordings when reflashing

does anybody know how to transfer recorded programmes if i want to change the image on my box? i presume i use ftp but with filezilla i have no option to copy media/hdd

you unplug your hdd or usb... reflash... replugin your hdd or usb. No need to mount or initialise. Everything will be there where you left off.

and if you are paranoid...ftp into your box. And right click your media/hdd folder and download it to your computer. No need though.
