UMS issues?

Hi

Trying to stream my media from PC on my smart TV but UMS (universal media player) doesnt get picked up by both TVs.

It used to work perfectly before but have no idea whats happened.

Dont think its being blocked by windows/router firewall.

Any ideas please.
 
Ye got replacement router but I dont know if the ISP is doing something.

Dont think anything is blocked.

All I want to do is stream my files from PC to TVs via UMS but not happening for me.
 
ahh might be setting on router as before some people had issues with lines not clearing on boxes and it was to do with switching something off on router,maybe mention make of router.
 
Its superhub 3 mate.

Not sure what setting needs to be turned off or if UMS is being blocked thus can stream files from pc to TVs?

Anyone please help?

Anyone use UMS to stream to their TV?

My superhub 3 went into modem mode about an hour after getting the bloody thing!
Using my trusty Asus as the router.
 
Hi

Still no luck.

Even disabled Windows firewall to see if that was blocking UMS but both smart tv's can't see UMS.

Now anyone who uses UMS do you have all media sharing options turned on in Windows and have media streaming Windows media player turned on?

Tried everything but I am just losing it now.

All I want to do is stream my media from pc to my tv's but can't at all. Plex is very limited as they force you to pay to take advantage of their features.
 
Ye I know it's not too much but I don't want to use plex.

Just been used to UMS.

No gurantee won't have issues with plex.

There has to be a way to fix issues I am having with UMS.

Has anyone not got any ideas?
