Usb Hdd compatability

Probably a 4gb flash drive but it won't give you much space for recordings. Probably 2-4hours. Check speeds of drives as I have tried a cheap 4gb drive & it took about 5sec+ to change channels & slow to load up the epg. Which could also make playback of recordings jumpy.

I'm not on about the size of the usb, its the compatibility issue. Does it have to be a SanDisk or Kingston or are there cheaper options. I've been using Kingston but they are expensive

SanDisk Ultra Flair 16gb USB3.0 with fast read & write speeds cost £5.09 on Amazon or 32gb for £8.25.

Pop into pc world, they have 16gb scandisk for 4.99 and 32gb from 6.99, I use a 32gb scandisk ultra fit which they have for 7.99 at the moment - I don't normally go into pc world but did the other day and noticed a lot of their scandisk where marked as '£x was £xx' - Best Offers | PC World
