reboot your router and broadband. see if that sorts it first.

also is the freezing just on one channel. if it was server it be all channels.

You could try a test line. then if the test line works fine, try your line again and if still same you know you server is crap.
 
Turns out there's a cable fault in my area, will know tomorrow if it's all back working, thanks to everyone for their replys .
