Vitali Klitschko is determined to set up a heavyweight showdown with David Haye after revealing today that he had been disgusted at the Londoner's taunts towards his brother Wladimir.
Haye surrendered his WBA heavyweight title in Hamburg nine days ago after being out-pointed in a largely one-sided contest.
A broken toe may have hindered him, but the 30-year-old's sub-par performance left many to suggest that his aim of beating both Klitschkos to unify the division is nothing but a pipe dream.
Haye has spent the most of the last three years taunting Wladimir with barbs that many have considered over the top.
The former cruiserweight world champion first taunted the Klitschkos by wearing a t-shirt depicting him holding up the severed heads of both fighters and then went on to advertise his own app which shows him decapitating what he called 'an eastern European fighter'.
Wladimir refused to rule out a rematch with Haye today, but both he and his manager Bernd Boente doubt whether the Bermondsey fighter really wants to fight the younger of the brothers again.
Vitali, 39, is open to fighting Haye though after his clash with Poland's Tomasz Adamek in September.
Vitali, holder of the WBC heavyweight title, told Press Association Sport: 'Now David Haye is without a title but there is one reason why I want to fight him - because he touched me personally with his bad words.
'I want to give him the right answer by sending him to the floor.
'This would be great for me personally. If the fight happens this will be the biggest motivation.'
Wladimir responded to Haye's trash talk by releasing a silent video of him holding up pictures of the Londoner's loss on YouTube earlier this week.
The 35-year-old ripped into Haye at a press conference this morning though, saying he was happy that the London fighter was 'sinking in his own trash' following the humbling loss.
Vitali also weighed in with the criticism, adding: 'He has no respect for his opponent, he tries to duck out before fights. He always has excuses, always says bad words to my brother and to me and to my family.
'It's not nice and the only way I can answer that without words is to send him to the floor in the ring. Then he will have no excuses. It will be great.
'He is actually famous for his trash talking and not for his boxing skills. I want to send him to the place where he belongs.'
