Western Digital 1TB Drive

Well i have ordered the box and downloaded the flash in readiness to start. I have an older Western Digital My Passport HDD USB 2.0, so was hoping to use this as my storage for the Zgemma H2s. Question is can I use it, and if so what type of format does it need? :bye:
 
yes you can use it and there is a bit in setup to initialize it
however a lot of people will say to use a externally powered hdd
im using a 1tb usb hdd with no problems atm
 
quick format your 1tb drive is all thats needed to prep your storage drive,
the drive you use to flash the box has to be prepared properly or the box will simply ignore the usb & boot as normal, 2gb or 4 gb pen drives are perfect for flashing as they dont take long to prepare, larger drives could be used but they can take hours to prep so smaller is better for flashing.

prep drive ready to flash: low level format with hddguru followed by a full fat32 format with Windows.... now its ready to load an image
