Will a Zgemma work Abroad?

my friend is after one of these boxes and has just ask me to send him one over. he lives in portugal but uses a UK VPN on his broadband. does anyone have first hand knowledge of whether this will work if it's setup here?

I would reckon a minimum of a 2m dish to receive some channels

Is there a way of knowing what channels they will receive with that size (or larger) dish?

I use and test Wooshbuild and located on the costa blanca in Spain.
It makes no difference which build you use as long as you're connecting to 28.2E it will all work the same as in the UK.
