xtreme tv loading query

In the early posts of e2 boxes one had to install an ipk file from temp to install from box and wondered if sticking it on a usb would work?

mips32el.ipk

tried the telnet but not seen on box even though pc said done?

Yes mate, put it on a usb, chuck it in and then go to the ipk installer and select the device your IPK is on.

opkg install --force-reinstall http://wooshbuild.co.uk/XtreamTV_0.0.6_mips32el.ipk

That is your file from the link. What box are you doing it on?

copy and paste the full command into telnet mate and it will bypass the need to use a USB stick as it will install directly from my server.

Thinking about it you can use the server it is on in the first place.

opkg install --force-reinstall http://bossip.bossisback.co.uk:25461/enigma2/XtreamTV_0.0.6_mips32el.ipk


don't take ages though or I will get a telling off for putting iptv link up. I will remove it once you have tried.

i have saved it somewhere,and telnet not used since the dodo lol

open webif then mate in your browser. The look on the left hand side for terminal. Login as root and then paste the command in there.
Right click in the black window, select "paste from browser", paste, enter and enter again Depending on your network the link below should open webif for you. If not use: http://theboxip

run putty, type the name of your box into the top box


Click open and you should get a black login window. Go from there.
