This is how to stop your hard drive spinning when not in use:
Press menu, setup, system, storage devices, hard disk setup.
Change Hard disk standby after to something suitable, for example 2 or 5 minutes by pressing left or right then press green for ok.

And tip number two, use an umbrella if you go outside when it rains.

Really, Im all for people helping on here, but this reeks of someone posting something, ANYTHING, just so they can download files from this site..........

In the thread DIRECTLY above (at the time of typing) your thread, with 98,000 views, in the very first post, part of MY idiots guide reads:
