What's new

all VM channels gone off?

there are only a few users saying they have lost everythng, if all channels had gone for a lot of people then there would be far more posts about it, if a provider from here has gone down then you would get a few posting
Yeah true grog m8 mines was a bit glitchy this morning when I got up. At present it's down but I'm thinkin it's just a maintenance thing just now and no cause for concern.

Hi guys, I'm running mgcamd on netid 40961 which is also down. Provider's been spot on to date. Seems like some are having success switching to oscam. Wondering if I should too but have no experience with it whatsoever.

not tried it yet but just got told to do this for mgcamd

Menu, plugins, softcams, install oscam latest
download the attached zip and ftp the contents to etc/tuxbox/config
press blue on your remote, got to softcams... stop any others and start oscam
go to your pc/device OPEN UP YOUR BROWSER and enter your receivers ip followed by either 83 or 9000 example http:://192.168.1.55:83 or http:://192.168.1.55:9000
click on 'readers' and edit the 'tv1' reader
in 'device' enter the server address and port in the following format: www.serveraddress.com,11111 also tick the 2 checkboxes for "Drop CWs with wrong checksum:" and "Skip CWs checksum test:"
under "Reader specific settings for protocol newcamd" enter your login details
click save

done, if not restart oscam on your box

I've installed Oscam 11572 and it's actually on port 8888. If in doubt use the 'OSCam Webinterface' link on the OpenWebif homepage

if i wanted to change my network settings and do it manually what would i set them to any one know

just recieved this of my provider and im using mgcamd
end user needs to disable CRC check

"1841 is using an extended CW so need to disable CRC check"

But did he tell you HOW? Lol

To do that using oscam do as grog has already said and tick disable crc check (check other thread)
Or add disablecrccws_only_for = 1841:000000 under [global] in your oscam.conf

Anybody using Mgcamd will need to update to mgcamd1.45 and try that. (It had the disable crc check added for Sky DE but not sure if it was just for that CAID or all)

EDIT
Be aware that all server owners and their relevant shares need to update configuration at server end as well. Until all the bad CW’s have filtered out you may still have significant freezing or find some channels not working at all
