starview box nagra 3

Hi, i have a HD combo, it can only pick up 3 channels, is this normal should i at least pick up free to air channels, what about the Sat connection if i rig it up to a dish will i get anything?

Mu normal SV box is still on receiving everything, but my HD combo wont pick up more than 3 channels. but looking at other threads i see you can connect a dish to the combo and use ccam
yes you can i think but i have no idea sorry youll have to look there at what the experts say!
if your still working on a normal SV well then good luck coz it wont last much longer! as soon as you get a new shiny red card from vm ( if you subscribe to them) then thats it its down hill from then onwards! did you check your area out in the thread i gave you above

Yes it says set to receive cards, so i guess im stuffed, will have to look into the sat side of things. cheers

Hi Linny; ALL boxs will be capable of running Nagra 3 Emulation; the But is ( and its a big BUT ) the software for them will have to be written with known information off the N3 Rom current to the area,

if that does happen its gonna be a long wait, as i was under the impression that even IF they crack N3 here in the UK none of the current boxes will work except the sv6 dont think the older boxes will be able to cope with the change over but im no techno!!!

lol is that all i can double that!! i bought 6 in total 5 here and 1 i bought for my neice!! all taknig up room in the garage atm LOL!!

The main obsticle, most in the know seem to think, is the memory required to handle the new system. The older SV' and Euro's etc. have extremely little memory space and this is why they say they won't work. My opinion is who knows what will be required to run a fix that hasn't been invented yet. Just my opinion.
