I got a viark 4k and a gt v8 uhd and i actually prefer the v8

Need a new receiver, if you were starting a fresh which would you get, I may get a GT media V8 UHD , is the support as poor as I have read recently.

Good support for it just need to know where to look

Depends on your budget and what satellite system you are going to buy it for The Viark
Would be better for motorised satellite system has better channel list The GTMEDIA V8 UHD is a budget reciever that
Will open all the channels that a viark will

Spec wise both about the same.
Price wise V8UHD wins
Looks wise Viark for me.
Firmware wise minor differences.
You can watch the same things equally well on both.

Both give full HD quality on a curvey female unlike the SD guy's who look like a 90 year old Vera duck worth 🤣

Anyone any idea why when i turn my Viark 4k on it has the mute symbol on the screen, and it won't respond to the mute button or the volume controls? i think it only started after the latest update, i have to reboot for a while to get it to work.

Thats a wierd one, not something mine does on the latest firmware.

Must be a setting somewhere. If you can not find it you can alway reflash the firmware.

Backup your channel list
Factory reset
Flash Firmware
Factory reset
Install channel list database.

Mine does this, turn off CEC then you can unmute using remote.
