Viark VIARK TYPE BOXES

Ecam is also gtmedia only

Agree with the rest of what you said about the Dual, but hopefully we won't have to wait too much longer.
Yes have seen the feedback on issues but I am only going to be running on fixed dish and a mono block LNB. Are there any issue s with a non motorised setup?

As far as I am aware mars is for gtmedia only, viark/qviart use there own, unless you mean ecam for funcam which I'm not sure if that runs on the enigma side. I have the dual and if you want it for primary TV watching you want to wait. The android side is being worked on a we await a new release. The e2 side is ok dependent on this image you use. You also need to purchase sp1 or 2 as it does not come with the box.
"The e2 side" Are you saying the viark is an enigma2 box?

The dual is a dual boot machine with both android and E2. The forever server side only works on the android side and then you boot into the E2 side which has 4 x slots for different images. The android side is glitchy and not perfected yet but the E2 side is not bad. There are images from openatv, pure2, openblackhole, cobraliberosat and openpli, and openspa. Each has its own quirk but openatv and pure2 seem pretty rock solid. I cannot open icams channel on 19.2 on with openpli or cobraliberosat for some reason.

The android side just does not seem as finished as it could be and not as stable as say the viark sat 4k. Its being worked on but i've found software 1.06 plus ferrets latest channel list seems to work for me with faster channel zapping. With the android side you can of couse add your own iptv suppliers apk's.

Is that faster channel zapping than before or faster than the sat 4K?

I bought the wrong one, I've a Viark Sat 4K,, still happy with the "forever cam".

Forever or Mars are the top level servers im not sure why you would say you bought the wrong one unless you wanted Dual boot e2 and Android that the dual gives.

The Dual for me is expensive considering it comes with no sub included and actually runs slower than the sat 4k with many bugs on the Android side and no epg that is worth anything.

Until Qviart sorts it, it is not really a box that should be considered partially if you not that technical.

OK. Not really "the wrong one" But since i've just bought the viark, if i'd done more homework I may have opted for the dual if I knew it was a "dual" As it says in the name. Live and learn.

But as stated it's poor right now too many issues, so you made the right choice after all.

On the plus side the dual is reasonably fast on e2. I think it matches my solo 4k speed wise but that box is a few years old now.

Can't see any pluses to make this a buyable option to someone looking.

It depends on what you are looking for.

A big plus for the Dual, is that "should" the forever server vanish for any reason.

Then you can use it as an E2 box and add oscam etc, so the box doesn't instantly become a door stop.

Or just have a superior cheap E2 stb for a lot less money along side a cheap forever stb.

Who said viark sat 4k?
I said
Ok so the cheapest forever box that will open the SR channels is a Viark Sat ?

So that + a 4K E2 box, again would still cost more than the Dual.

You might just be able to get a 4K E2 box and a gtmedia V8 UHD + Mars for about the same money though.
