What's new

more blocks on the way?

Wow! what an over reaction or am i just deluded? i've got two suppliers, one struggles, the other doesn't, i use the one that doesn't and when it comes to renewal time i just won't renew the baddie, these are difficult times for iptv, do your housekeeping, do your research and don't head into a saturday unblinkered, it's cat and mouse, just a game. Put your hands in your pocket, pay for a months sub and see how it goes! If a supplier tells you he can't or won't do a month just move on, most suppliers will

Spot on bud it’s the same every year just different headlines.
Just like when end users was going to get a knock on there doors there’s been no follow up articles about it.
Most end users use a vpn so they wouldn’t know if a block was happening or not.
Me personally I don’t have a backup sub as I have a lot of trust in my provider been with him years through the good and bad.
I’m aware that some did suffer at the weekend but was the same services as last season

It is good when you get a supplier and keep with the same one, i lost my regular guy 18 months ago for his own personal reasons, it's hard to forge new relationships because there are so many messers out there, i've always been low maintenance as a customer, i know how to set things up and cause suppliers no issues at all, it's surprising really how many people don't get that 99% of problems are self inflicted and spoil it for the genuine ones!

Yup amount of people who don’t know the basic of a device is unreal and then you have those that still run 1st gen fire sticks 😆😆 tbh I take it or leave it when comes to iptv if a channel works it works if it doesn’t then not end of world and will get sorted when possible.
It’s a shame some end users cause providers problems with dumb questions and think there available 24/7 for the least little thing but that’s another thread for another day😁😁

Totally agree, end users can be a nightmare, once they pay a sub. They have a self entitlement attitude.

When it comes to services like this it's wise to have a backup. But no need to over pay if one provider works the majority of the time and has the odd hiccup. As mentioned across this forum its cat and mouse, as long as suppliers and providers are willing and motivated to counter for e.g blocks then it's a win for customers that wish to continue with a service thats probably less than a cup of coffee a month.

I think since CS died (for the average user) a lot of people replaced their boxes with firesticks etc for IPTV and they forgot/didn't realise they can still get freesat with a cheap box but instead rely on IPTV for all their tv viewing. Or maybe thought not worth getting freesat box as IPTV covers it all.

That's great and works well most of the time, but if IPTV goes down for any reason, they lose their TV viewing totally so then get a bit upset LOL

Very true. I got rid of my box and use streaming services, e.g YouTube, Netflix etc if IPTV goes down. That's the beauty with for e.g a firestick it's portable and only need a reliable internet connection. People think they need superfast broadband but anything around 20Mpbs that's reliable will work good.

i think i struck lucky after leaving sky-they offered me basic sky q for a fiver a month and i've had that deal for 18 months so far, ideal just for terrestrial channels!

Hopefully the United v Wolves match tonight won't be disrupted and those providers who were affected by the super blocks this weekend then have till next week to work on their fix.

these supposed super blocks are for sky to block their own content which they have to get a separate court order for so there is no “super blocks” it’s just the same blocks they’ve used for years but news outlets change the headings to get daft people to read and believe in them.
That’s why no sky Atlantic etc was blocked at the weekend most that would’ve been blocked is a vod server and a sports server.
But then providers would’ve just moved streams around to unblocked servers

It's good that providers have found workarounds for the super blocks so quickly then. I watched most matches on Peacock with a vpn this weekend, seems safer in the current climate.
