General VPN/Set Up Advice

That wifi speed is atrocious and will not work for HD streams.

Please post speed test results from a high quality device such as iphone 10+, samsung s20+, or a good spec computer
WITH and WITHOUT vpn for comparison.

There is a bind somewhere, being your streaming device or your networking devices. Using stock routers, especially in your location is not recommended.
 
@micrai4 I would imagine you have but have you turned off parental or nanny settings for Vodafone?
Also I think the issue is with your devices because your phone and PC have very good speeds.
I have had a look on Formula forums and some have mentioned big drops in speed on z11 pro using VPN’s.
Also mentioned on Reddit.

With VPN on my mac: 444 D, 35 U, 12 Lat, 17 Jitter
Without VPN: 475 D, 57 U, 16 Lat, 2 Jitter

Worth mentioning, that is using speed.cloudflare.

I have gone through the process with my VPN provider so I would assume all the necessary settings are correct but are there specific ones that I should double check?

If those speeds are correct on your devices then there is an issue with the Formula devices somehow.
They have gigabit ethernet and you should be getting at least 130mb using a vpn and over 400mb without.

It was only a suggestion as I also use surfshark fair enough i do not have a Formula device and I would never go back to openvpn if possible wireguard uses hardware if device is capable openvpn is software base so takes up more resources.
