One of my best movies ever was of true crime reporter Veronica Guerin.
Who was executed back in the 90s. Was hot in pursuit of the Kinahan and Hutch familys 9/10 from me exellent movie.

Kinahan/Hutch factions didn't exist, t'was John Gilligan, George Mitchell, Martin 'the general' Cahill,etc.
But the premise was that she was reporting on the drug/crime Lords of the day.
In fact, after she was killed, politicians saw fit to set up the Criminal Assets Bureau which confiscates criminals asstes with much success.
