How to update your channel list for Skyboxes

channel list

It's very simple.
From ajsat, click on either the full UK channels or no adult into either your computer or usb drive.
If you've done that successful. Then get back to me
 
Hi ive just followed these instructions and my box resetted its self and wont turn back on. It loads on the screen of the box to 100 then goes back to load again? Any suggestions?
 
Hi there,

I have followed this, and for me, it hasn't worked, it has put loads of more and new channels onto my box, however i still only have the basic channels, ad all the others are scrambled still?

Any ideas on what i can/should do?

found a clip on youtube that says delete old channels....now i'm thinking that's just wrong now my box is blank.... my usb playing up 😢
 
It should overwrite the old list For some reason some dont Delete old channels Reformat your usb to fat 32 then add list again when it is loaded press info on remote to check its loaded ok
 
definitely your dish is having a problem for you to have 30% signal.
updating the channel list have nothing to do with the box . you also confirm that all the free view like bbc, itv are not showing.
I suggest you look into your dish

Since I have updated to the latest AJ channel list I have lost Sky Premier and Premier +1, says scrambled, how do I alter the frequency, sid and pid to the correct ones?
Newby to this so please be patient
 
I think the latest Aj list to correct all the anomalies will be ready by Monday 20/04/15.
when it comes out, you need to install that into your box. do you know how to update the channels via usb method? if not, get back to me for assistance.
 
I know how to update via usb method, thanks, what I find strange is that they worked before I updated, I have re flashed the old Channel list but they are still scrambled !
How can I alter them myself?

to be honest with you, I don't like openbox or f5s because of polirisation issue like this. I use and advice a lot of people to use technomate , blade, vu+ that have onboard short circuit fitted on them because it helps a lot.
according to what you just said that, it work before and not now. I can see a fault from the dish regarding the vertical and horizontal conversion problem on your box. because the box is Hd, and now you can only have SD channels on most of the channels, you are likely to have that problem.
let see what will happen on Monday with the new updated list and we will go ahead with some solution.

Sky Movies Premiere & +1 are both working fine on my box with latest AJ list on 11836H.

This is the same frequency as most of the other Sky Movie channels. Are they all working OK?

@Nastyking53...how do you know that AJ is bringing out a new channel list on Monday?
Turbo10's problem hasn't got anything to do with the H/V "no signal" problem.

Its turns out is was my cline even though some channels worked perfectly. Tried my mates cline to do a test, perfect, bought a new cline as mine only had 3 weeks to run, now all channels working.

Can I ask I have had my box for some time and never upgraded my channel lists was always scared incase I mess up and lost it all but now I am noticing some channels have now gone so need to do the necessary my question is do I just download the latest version or do I need to go back and download some previous lists as I have never done one ? Also am I best to save what I have first or just follow instructions as posted and overwrite what is already there

Download the latest AJ list, new list is out today, copy to your pen drive. I always do a backup before I flash. Don't forget to restart your box after.
 
hi, i have asked this in a different section so thought i would put it in a correct section,i have not put any firmware on the v8 will i need to?? or can i just download channel list and put it straight on the v8 box
