Alternative F5s firmware

My F5s is so slow - Very laggy when changing channels or looking at favourites or EPG. Does anyone have any recommendations as to a faster firmware?

Use the latest V5s firmware from Downloads
Files are fully compatible with the F5s.

As you know I also have a Skybox F5S - not turned it on yet. Should I just flash it from the word go and be fully up to date to start with?

No15 but see if your box is working first then go menu--tools and check out which f/w loaded and what date.

I have the latest firmware - I downloaded it previously and installed it,but the box is still dog slow. Thinking I'm just going to throw it out and mark it up as a bad lot.

Try a fresh download using a clean formatted usb key---also try another psu as they deteriorate in time.

All singing all dancing? Not sure how you can compare that to your own Zgemma image. :)
My f5s sucks. I may just bin it and get a second Zgemma.

Yeah it was very much a tongue in cheek comment. I must say it is so bad it is unbelievable but sly for this price each month and for anyone on a budget it is a solution even if a temporary one.

I have put it in my daughters room as she only watches a few channels anyway. Did have multiroom and still do but for a whole lot less :-)

Hey Wooshman, I've just realised those files you posted above are very old. There are two more recent updates available and the latest enables over the network updates. Just thought I'd let you know.

Box is stable which means the daughter is, but I will flash when I get the chance.
