F5S picture but no audio after previously working fine.

H all, looking for help please.

my f5 box has been working fine until recently. Just recently though, I have picture on all channels but no audio on any of the channels. When changing to another input on the same TV, the sound works fine, just not on the f5 input. I have replaced hdmi cable and ensure volume is turned up on both TV remote and f5 remote.

can anyone offer any suggestions to solve my frustration please?

Have you ever updated firmware on box?? Thats sometimes causes them sort of problems when its out of date.
 
Have you tried the scart lead just to make sure your hdmi port hasn't went belly up. Also have you maybe changed your audio settings, possibly by jamming a button on a remote.
If you've still got picture, I'm leaning towards settings, long shot with the hdmi port but if you get sound via scart, then theres an issue with your port

Channel lists do not corrupt sound/audio settings-----pressing buttons does.
Check your audio by clicking MP on remote then going to audio and see if you can adjust---also check your mute and audio buttons on remote.

Hi all, thanks for your replies.

i have updated firmware as that was previously suggested. I vaguely remember steeping on a remote, but have trolled the settings etc and still can't seem to find the soloution. Will try the scart tomorrow to see if there is an issue with hdmi port. Have checked mute and audio button as other suggested but still no joy. Am sure it's something simple but it's frustrating me.
