If I update the firmware on my a3 will I have to update my cline? Will i end up losing my fav lists also? Don't wanna do this and make a complete mess of it!
 
It's the update on the official skybox website dated 22.01.14 that i'm talking about, maybe it's not a firmware update after all lol but if I put this on my box will I have to add my server etc again?
 
If your box is working perfectly, why update? there is always a chance of bricking your box while upgrading.
 
I was hoping it would allow me to get the 7 day epg, i can get it when i go to xml via the m/p button but it's not set out properly and when i hit info on a channel it only gives me now and next.
 
I don't have the epg and time setting in system setup so i thought this update maybe give me this option as I dont know how to set my epg default as the xml
 
You can save your server info onto a USB before upgrade, then if it has gone missing, update it from there

Cheers, do you know if I can change the epg default to xml on the a3? Can't figure itvout for the life of me as i dont have an epg and timer setting, only a timer setting

Have no problem setting it up just looking to find out were to get a cccam and sever this has to be put on to USB and Cline into box any ideas guy's thanks
 
skybox f5s bricking

Hy all just a quick note i have had to unbrick my skybox twice now not sure why it keeps bricking seems to come up with the figure 8 when it does. i have managed to get it back up twice but just want to know if i have done something i.e. firmware update or something that i shudnt have done.

at present its running on firmware dated 17.12.2013
which i think is the latest firmware available for this.

new to sky boxes but learning them fast

1. fix bug :timernot work in standby mode
2.add descriptor for timer event.

ive got a skybox f5s.

first one i got is bricked and waiting for cable to arrive , now this one is saying offline/load on config files
dchp is turned on
youtube is loading and showing categories and shows top videos but wont play them.

have been told it could be the firmware ????
 
firmware issue with youtube yes not that stable but not with your cccam connection. check again with your server supplier ask him if the line has been banned by the server? for 2 ip addresses as you have taken the box elsewhere to try it.

hi simonb , i got line through a 3rd party , he is saying server says the line is live . he told me to just leave on ppv channel and it would come on eventually , that was 2 days ago !!

i havent taken box anywhere else its been the same ip addresss
