formular boxes still worth buying?

I have just bought a formuler z8 box and can't believe how good it is.

I don't see how a formuler z8 can ever be beaten or even improved apon. This thing can pause rewind or record live streams in virtually all channels inc VIP. My Mutant HD51 can do something similar but needs a multi room sub to do so. The z8 needs a std sub costing just 7 euros pcm.

I can go into most channels and rewind the full day and watch programs from hours ago with the fast forward button set to jump 3 minutes so I don't even see any adverts.

Gotta say z8 is very stable. EPG is lightning fast. Hot keys are a must.

Afaik the selling point of these boxes is the mytvonline 2 software but this has now been cloned in an app called implayer , can be used free but the paid version ($10 for 2 devices) works same as mytvonlione 2 , so you can pop it on any cheap android box

Any clue how to delete screenshots on a z8..deleting movies still leaves screenshots

The thing that makes the z8 so good for me is the dedicated handset that runs the MTOL2 software which a standard android box wouldn't have. The trick might be to buy a cheaper formuler box that has the handset and run the implayer app.

My tv app is very good, but the key to any iptv related box, is the provider.. I think z8 is solid box, I would recommend it, sadly let down by the remote control. I knew what I was buying having owned the z7+ so ordered a harmony.. which is back lit

I use an enigma2 box but have installed the Implayer app on a couple of boxes and its possible to re-program the coloured buttons on your remote (maybe others as well but not sure) I've never tried a formuler box but this app has to be as near as dammit, its been said though whatever box your using it really depends on how solid your provider is

With mags & Android Devices running hot, I use one of these laptop coolers. Runs off usb. No noise. That cooler is 3 years old, still runs perfect..

You have to hold down the ok button for a few seconds until a tick box appears on the screenshot
