I know a few people who are all using the same line, like exact same details, how is this possible and how does it work? Dont you have to have individual lines per box or am i wrong? Thank you any help is appreciated.

They'll get found out eventually. Line goes offline and they're all screwed and have to buy another

It will be if it's the same guy getting the line. not very cost effective if he has to buy 3/4 lines a year

You know the people who provide the line can they see whos using it and all that stuff because they have been using it for a long time ive just been sat here waiting for them to cut it and say i told you so! Hahaha

I'm not sure how it all works but I'd imagine they'll be able to see their IP addresses

if 2 boxes login the same time info it will be seen their end and cut off and no return of blood sweat and tears. if you start pissing off servers you might end up with fta.
remember depends on server of how many connections they allow for 1 account.
1 line =1 box

The lines may look the same, but just have a different password. The servers can see which ip is connected what channel you or on, Ecms and request levels. as dilly said if the user connects to different ip addresses at the same time with the same line the system just bans all the using ip addresses so no reconnect.

Well i bought 3 lines from e bay because they were cheap, explained that i wanted to use 3 different ip's and was told that he would just log that 3 ip's were using the lines only had on for about 2 months with no problems at all. How this works i dont know but they were exact same details in 3 different boxes
Until i purchased my lines i was like most people thinking you could only use one line but i suppose the person controling the line on their server can let you use the same line if you have paid for them when i got my lines i did ask and the reply was he would log that there were 3 ip's and if 1 box went down and another didnt then the problem would be on that boxes side because if they go down they will all go together
