How to flash Arnet Kryptview - Firmware Loading Guide / Tutorial .

im havin real problems. i fashed it. done the s/w update, i cant seem to find my network area. i live in blackburn lancs and dont know what to put. and when i do a ch scan it comes up with nothing;(

you will only get a list of areas when you start to scan on your correct provider, you will see the list come up, the only way to get your correct area if from a subbed vermin box, if you dont have one find a neighbor or a friend that lives beside you and get from their box.
 
Well my provider is vm. So I put NTL on. SSorry to sound thick but what's a subbed virmin box. Think manage to flash it. Then Idone the s/w up date. Seem to go ok. Then I go to do the ch search. I pick NTL but only takes a min to do it with no channels. I gone though the factory reset and done it all again but just dose the same. Don't know what I'm doing wrong
 
Sounds like your searching on the wrong provider.
Try Ex CW or Telewest.
Chorus was Ireland so it won't be that.

You should get 58/58 Tps (or thereabouts)
when you are on the correct one.

You will get a list of areas to search on.

If you don't know what yours is you can get it from
your virgin box Home - Settings- Tech Stuff
Then page down to the net ID.

Or if you can't be bothered with all that
a bit of trial and error on different areas
will work too.

Just do a restore to factory default settings
after each search to wipe the previous one.

Oh! after s/w update you should have 11/11/12 on your
box check on system info. from the menu.

If your not in Ireland.!! then scan on different networks when scanning as vermin(virgin..!!) brought up all the orig cable providers..so even if the the white box in your house has telew on it you may need to scan on ex c&w or N*L to get approx 56/56 TP's (but 49/49 is still good...eileen..vermin still fixing oxford..!! haha) My old house was Installed by N*L and my pal who still lives there scans on ex c&w to get 56/56.....N*L only gives 8/8...!!

i am in ireland and get no tps lol,yes good idea to check the 3 providers as things are changing and that includes net ids.

oh teds in trouble again lol;)
 
Yes jodav i am getting the hang of this...just..!!(Bees and cactikid also helped) and it all started with that "nmc" you know the one..!! But as there is not much to get a KV going it just makes it easier to troubleshoot for users.. (cactikid thanks for 1-11 only info will pass it on)
 
The 780 is better than the 750 because everything is built in to the box. Where as the 750 has the Internet connector is seperate. So it takes up less space and is more tidy.

So do not bother with the 750 if deciding between the two. They both have the same channels.

You get the majority of channels your cable supplier supplies (virginmedia) with a couple of exceptions like most of the adult channels.

I've tried following the steps but keep getting this message;

Im using a USB Cable connected to the RS32 what ever the wire is called. I can hear the computer make the noise when a device is fitted.

How can i get around this problem?

UPDATE: Never mind i needed to select the correct COM what an idiot lol

hi, I am having problems with my a780. It is connected to my router and the orange and green lights are on the Ethernet port but the box still doesn't seem to have access to the network? when I go to s/w update it just sits there saying 'searching new update' and doesn't do anything else.i have a second a780 and when I plug it in in the same place as the other it works fine so the router, cables etc etc are all ok and it must be box related.has anyone had this before and knows how to fix it? fta works fine it just doesn't unscramble the pay channels (just like the Ethernet cable isn't plugged in? thanks
