I didn't know xtream worked with MAG boxes I thought they were E2.

Many thanks, I'll edit the post to add the download link then (it's too big to directly upload), I've already privately had some positive reports so I'd hope it works well for everyone. I'm never sure about posting download links to a forum I'm new to, so I always like to check first. (And reporting myself seemed the simplest way)

They have there own mag portal
You will need a account with them then add your line to there mag device subscription service then you can setup epg for live channels and vod
Have to say the layout off there portal is fabulous.

It blocks all current access - they can't add anything new, because it won't allow automatic updates either

Are you updating from the bootloader, or from the system settings page?

You have to do it from the bootloader by holding the menu key when the box is first powered on

I got the same message when I tried to downgrade to firmware r19. I have downgraded my mag to firmware r14 and can confirm there is no block on vod or anything else.
Only thing with this is it's 2016 firmware but it does by pass the block.
I will test the new firmware in this thread tomorrow . Always have problems with usb updating like you. No signature file or usb won't register.
I don't think the mag box usb is all that great .

You always want to be doing it via the bootloader on all models - the box follows some rather strict rules about which firmware can be flashed from system settings. On the 250/254, you always want to be using the rear USB port as well with a USB2 stick of no larger than 8gb to get the highest success rate.
From the 256 upwards, USB support is a lot more solid but the rules about flashing from the bootloader remain. I won't bore you with the full set of what/why it gives wrong signature unless you really want the full explanation though.
