Modifying Sky Q dish to receive sports channels?

I used to have Sky Q but I'm no longer a customer. I've still got the Sky dish. If I get someone to replace the LNB, would I then be able to get a set top box that allows me to watch football - UK 3pm games etc.? Would I need a specific LNB or would most work? Any set top box recommendations?

If you got the lnb changed the the a universal lnb or a hybrid sky q lnb then take a look at the viark boxes such as the viarks sat 4k. This will give you the sky channels but not the 3pm games as sky do not show those games. If you wanted to see the 3pm games the same box is good but you would need a dish pointing as another satellite. Many games are shown on supersports on 16e in english and games are also shown on sky de on 19e in english.

Will leave the LNB part to the experts...likely needs changing but prob need more info as to what LNB you have ..regards rest yes you can get a box which will allow you access to football..assuming your dish is fixed then will only get UK channels..sky games...if motorised then can get access to 3pm games also.

For types of boxes etc best read this thread
