New Skybox F3S/F4S/F5S SW with full working EPG Record function!

Will the box auto swap channels? have downloaded and installed, seems to work, all the options come up as in the instruction sheet just nothing records ?
Has anyone actually got this working correctly ?
 
My epg works with my USB hard drive. It updates when the box is in standby. All icons working channels and recording working from epg. I'm using aj's list on f5s.
 
So Steve do you have the epg software on the usb hard drive then, or are you using a "USB Hub" with the HDD and also the memory stick both plugged into the Hub.

I just use a USB hardrive. Update epg and then turn auto update on. But it takes a few days to catch up than all works fine. Just put in standby at night.

My mate has a USB stick only and works fine also

does updating the firmware reset all ccam settings etc as well? or is it like a channel list where settings are retained? new to this.
 
In theory !!!!

It should keep your line settings.

Just like updating your channel list it shouldn't be effected.

If you do a restore to "factory default settings" you will loose them.

However I would make sure I had a copy just in case, before you do the update.

In the menu you can dump it to a USB stick so you have a copy,
if you haven't got the details on an Email somewhere.
 
I very much like the new EPG but I have noticed some channels still have no information and some are not live in regards to what time it is, but it is a MASSIVE step forward, good looking on the cheaper boxes

I had a look when I go to "dump to USB" do I do .abs or misc files?
tried to find instructions how to do it but no luck.

You will only lose your cline settings if you select it in the pop-up box that appears when you choose Factory settings.

If you perform "Factory Settings" without choosing any of the other options in the pop-up box, then your cline will remain.

If you only want to back up your cline info, then select Misc files, then CCcam.cfg. Double check it has been saved by reading it in notepad on your pc.
 
2 questions first will this work on the f3, and the second can i stick a powered 1tb hdd into the box. thanks in advance. ps can some one also tell me the difference between f3 and f3s please thanks again.

Hi where can I get the new epg and how do I load it I currently am using powered hdd in usb slot which is working fine (350gb)

hi guys,just tried this and am quite impressed,xtvml epg,auto update on for uk,other countries available.Epg is stored on usb,not sure mem hungry or not,later.
When downloading info says will revert to factory settings,however after taking down c line details i needed not worry,f5s box stored my line.sorted.
