Openbox S9 latest firmware

Hi, I'm looking for the Openbox S9's latest firmware. I downloaded it off their official site, which is dated November 2013, but it is an .ird file. I only have knowledge of using skyboxes before and I am updating FW and a channel list for a friend.

When I go to upgrade by USB there is no option to update the firmware with an .ird file, am I doing it wrong or what? :whacko:
I would really appreciate any help, thanks.
 
The last official S9 firmware was released in 2011, so I'm not sure where you got your firmware from.

It should be an .abs file, as used by current openboxes & skyboxes.

Have a look on skybox.cc.

Yeah I downloaded that FW but I noticed it was quite old. I then downloaded the FW that I have attached from another forum and it worked a treat. This gave me a menu like you have on a skybox F5 rather than the menu you flick through on a S9. From the name Im guessing this FW is for a S2 box or is there such a thing?

Interesting. I'll give it a go later.

What date does it show when installed. From my collection of S9/10/11 firmware, the latest date I could find was C2HS2-12-06-18:05E3CMT.

btw...the S2 in the file name doesn't mean that it's for an S2 box.

Ah right and what type of manu does that give, a regular openbox menu? When you switch through the channels by pressing select and the right or left directional button or by pressing the selct button and the the red button for the groups?

In the information part of the menu the version is C2HS2-11-12-13:0481CMT

Could you upload your latest firmware to his thread?
 
that hds2 s/w looks familiar, marked europe
upgraded when had that nasty s9 snotbox

s/w was notable for the fact couldnt edit the radio list
