no problem safety first and if you use a skybox/openbox ensure that room has a smoke alarm fitted:smoke rings:

Thanks Cactikid....very interesting reading

I agree that the best way is to run separate cables from lnb

But as I will only have ONE receiver on at a time im not sure if this applies to my set-up

Also I have googled and cant find anything about fried receivers and smoke alarms needed unless trying to run both boxes at the same time

Im sure their must be thousands of Skybox F5 users out their who have linked their boxes and not fried them

Please enlighten me as I AM taking this seriously

Thanks for your input

He's on about skybox/openbox in general he's a bit of a cynic is are cactikid lol (only joking) there's been a few faulty openboxes but I've had mine for about a year and half without any problems

Received my 2 splitters and cables today then connected my Sky HD and Zgemma boxes

WHOOPIE !!!

Now I can

1. Watch and record with the Sky HD box as normal
2. Watch and record with the Zgemma box as normal
3. Watch and record with the Sky HD box AND record with Zgemma

WARNING !! Only one box can be on at the same time.....The other MUST be in STANDBY to work

Still testing this set-up at the moment but so far everything seems to be working fine

If anyone needs a link to the Splitters and cables just let me know or try fleabay

Good luck guys !!
can you send the link please? Thank you
