Radio Code for Nissan Micra 2003 Please

New poster, just signed up as hoping for some advice. Took Micra in for a recall and then realised the battery had been disconnected and I now can't find the radio code. From the posters above, I gather the only place I can find the serial number is by taking the radio out.

Sorry to be thick :) but do I need any special tools to do this? Been looking online and apparently you need to unclip the dash and remove a bolt from inside the dashboard as well as unscrewing the radio and heating vents. Does anyone know if I should be able to use a spanner to remove this bolt? It seems quite awkward to get to so if anyone has any advice or knows of a better way, I'd really appreciate your help! It's a Micra 2006 1.2.

Thanks for the info and the quick replies. I've watched a couple of videos on Youtube and am just searching for some more. Joan's link also looks really helpful. I seem to remember having to use a special tools years ago (something similar to an allen key) but maybe that's really outdated and no longer necessary.

Just a quick update - I haven't been able to find a spanner to fit the bolt under the dash so am trying to get hold of one asap and will hopefully will be back with the serial number in case anyone is able to help me access a code.

Hi all,

Finally managed to get the radio out. The serial number is BP538469483017. There were a few other numbers on there, I'm hoping one is the Parts Number, they are:

7645384318
E1 024173 D
106
28185BC31A
ZH D912

If anyone is able to access a code I'd be extremely grateful.
