Many thanks for the number - unfortunately it wasn't the one. If you think it might be the code that I quoted that's wrong, I can always try removing the radio again (never easy!). I'd be grateful for any advice.

code is correct for the serial given
sometimes the serial is engraved on the metal case of the radio

it will be on the sticker of the radio
sometimes serial is stamped on metal casing, either way you will need to remove the radio
