I get a pop up sometimes to verify my phone number but never have, I buy netflix turkey gift cards and then pay with them.
So instead of putting bank details in, buy a gift card and put the code in?
Will it not ask for a phone number after you put the code in?

Sorry I just checked my netflix account and I have indeed entered my UK Mobile number but it is not verified.

I created the netflx account using turkey vpn, I did nothing special as I can't be bothered if there is too much messing about.

I now buy my gift card from https://www.mtcgame.com/en-GB/netflix/netflix-hediye-karti/netflix-hediye-karti-100-tl , they send you a photo of till reciept with code on it which could take a while as it appears to be done manually, and then when I get the code I just redeem it on netflix account.

I use turgame app from playstore for Netflix gift card.

thanks for heads up on that, much prefer having digital delivery

EDIT: I just installed the app and tried buying a gift card from Turngame, and within minutes had an unrecognised login to my google account from an S7 phone. Could be coincidence but has put me off using them.
I will watch out for that thanks

Thanks for the tip on Paramount+, might try Mexico. Problem is I also use the US version so I imagine it would cause a conflict on Control D.

I signed up to Setanta Azerbaijan a few days ago but have it routed to Ukraine for F1 and EPL. Can’t seem to find an app that works with the Firestick though, the one posted here a few pages back doesnt complete the installation (something about architecture). Has anyone managed to get it working on the Firestick?

personally,
I think if anyone is going down the road of using VPNs , DNS etc to access foreign genuine APPs then you need to be using a dedicated 3rd party router to do so,
the benefit is at least 2 fold, it eases the load on the device you are using to access the services
it makes the use of the DNS , or VPN much easier

No working app for firestick, best option is via silk browser

Paramount+ US / MX + ControlD - yes, that is a problem (i have the same issue - i have both, and have to go into ContolD to flip between the 2).

Setanta - i had problems finding it in any of the Play Stores... so I ended up downloading it from apkmirror and sideloading it - you want version 1.0.1 (it's an Android TV version). I should add, I have Nvidia (not firestick) so not sure if it's the same. Give it a go.

totally agree, but the lengths people go to sign up to p+ mexico compared to p+ uk is laughable...only saving about a pound, everyone wants the cheapest option, with these official sites i advise only do monthly subs just incase vpn/dns get bloacked etc

No app works on firestick

any recommendations for a cheap-but-ok router for this kind of thing?

cheap is relative
I was looking for a £50 router, then someone on here linked me to a Linksys £100 router that was on offer,
I bought it, and couldnt be happier, even though it was twice my budget.
I also have a £15 GL-arm travel router, and it is really good at what it is for the money, but as an everyday router it would be useless
the GL router has a maximum speed of about 15 Meg, the Linksys shows me no speed loss at all on a 70 Meg connection.
you pays your money and takes your choice, saving money isnt always a saving in the long run.

I use the GL-Inet Flint (AX-1800) and run ControlD with Adguard Home directly on the router. Works well. Also run a Windscribe Wireguard protocol directly on the router in the instances I need a VPN - virtually no speed loss.

Believe it costs less than £100 on Amazon.
