Splitter problem?

Which splitter is best to use with v media . I have had trouble over the weekend with superhub 3 keep trying to access the internet ( symbols flashing on router constantly and being offline) . Last night I disconnected the splitter, as I have zgemma connected and it seems ok this morning. Could it be a splitter problem and if so which is best replacement. Thanks
 
Technetix, Tratec or Labgear splitters are the only ones suitable for use with VM

What name is on the splitter in use?
 
Splitter is fine - looking at the cable you are using dont seem to be proper VM amphenol cable with crimped on cablecon connectors?
 
Thanks for that , i have always had the same cables and not had a problem , so im guessing the splitter is at fault . if i was to replace cables i would need the one posted and one about 1.5m . thanks
 
Yeah theres a few sellers on the bay that will sell the cables at different lengths but try and keep them as short as possible ok 👍

I had that very splitter installed by VM and started having problems with it out of the blue. You can see that it doesn't split the loss equally with one side being 3.6db and the other being 4db. When I connected either the box or router to the 4db side it either caused glitching on the box or the internet to drop out and that was after it working perfectly fine for years.

I swapped it out for an old Viewsonic version I had in the back of the cupboard which has equal 3.5db loss on each side and haven't had a problem since.
 
is webro wf 100 cable ok to use for the splitter ? if not , what cable is best ? thanks
