unusual reason for glitching?

My V5S recently started glitching very badly on all $ channels. I tried a new line and it was the same. I finally worked out that the glitching only happened when my PC had Onedrive enabled and there was something being uploaded. Turn off Onedrive,no glitching. Turn on Onedrive, bad glitching.

My f5s was always glitching bad especially when there was big events on.

I upgraded to a zgemma and I hardly get a glitch now It is well worth it.

The f5 is only a budget box and when there is a big ppv fight on every ones watching at the same time so putting servers under pressure

you mentioned it is when onedrive is on this suggests your internet connection. while watching football i had my 2 sons steaming to their tablets one drive is always on with the main pc plus my girlfriend was online doing what ever probably shopping and sat box worked fine with no glitching what so ever. running on talktalk fibre optic

As you say Mike it is likely to be my internet. Downloads do not seem to cause any problems. I have had 3 people downloading various things and no glitching. It only happens if I have a video on my PC and Onedrive is uploading it to itself. There is no doubt it happens as with Onedrive on and uploading bad glitching, but turn Onedrive off and no glitching. when I do a speed test I get about 7gb download and 0.3 upload. As I only have had Onedrive for 2 months the problem didn't appear till comparatively recently. I have put it on here in case any one else may have similar symptoms

Your upload speed is about 4 times slower than your download speed. if another device is using the internet then you or more or less half your speed striaght away. so in all your box will take longer to send the code to the server, and the receive time back will be slower.

This ends with your tv freezing. The code sent from your box to the server and then the server to send it back to your box as to be all done within 8 seconds and that is hopefully if the code sent was a good code, as sky send out bad codes too to create us problems that means the box will have to resend and receive.

Its not always the server to blame. there or lots of other factors that have to be right too. Internet speed, connection, ping and SNR. They all have to be good for the system to work perfectly, but its not a perfect world thats why its cheap. But sky is not perfect either.
