IF your using the WiFi FTP Server app go into setting click on Root folder and set a folder then when you access your phone only that folder will open on the viark. I just made a new folder named FTP

Hi, trying to upload this channel list of yours onto my V8 uhd but can't seem to figure it out. Have updated the firmware to the most recent one just need to add the channels followed by the server. Any help would be appreciated

Update by usb make sure only the channel list in on the usb

Have just the sdx file on the usb but couldn't find the option for updating. Will take another look

Menu/ Net & Games/ USB
Highlight the sdx file press ok then yes
Maybe different on the v8 lol

It's similar go into USB highlight the file and click it it will ask u if u wanna update channels or something along those lines. What I find weird is my old UK sub is still clearing b4u movies, Utsav gold etc but these channels not clearing on Mars server.

Yes, just like those servers out there atm opening the sly SD side , line from them on the box and away you go , mind though , i only think very few work for viaplay

Nope , only non icam sd channels and viaplay

Thanks managed to figure it out afterwards. When it was saying software/database the 1st time round I assumed it meant the actual box software 😂 Just have to get used this type of box and lingo again after the openbox days lol

Ah you can ftp from box to whatever. I was trying to ftp to box 😂😂

Other way round mate unless you found a way to ftp from box?

OK so I worked out how to upload but your limited to files only recordings cannot be uploaded.

1, Start FTP server
2, Select file you want to upload from receiver in USB
3, Select Upload (yellow button)
4 Select Upload to FTP

Ahhhh silly me.

Thought it was equivalent to the Viark Droi or something.

the Solovox has Android 11, so I may take a punt on one of them to play around with.
