Of course if it's hybrid lnb it's no different than connecting a freesat stb
Just ensure you use the correct ports on the LNB.

It will be a new sub i think as these are all linked to the boxes serial number.
The box will need updated to the latest firmware Then you will need to find the box id off the reciever then send to your provider Then he will send you the line
Best to create a text file in notepad save as all files Then copy onto formated to 32 usb and transfer to the receiver saves trying to add with the tricky key board.You should know what to name the file not mentioning any protocols

I got mine sent in the correct format and label and just copied and pasted to usb and uploaded to box. No need for any messing around.
Don't know about the viarks but on the V8 it's not bothered about capital c's etc.

The Viarks dont use that method for the forever server.
All done via a web page. Via the seller in most cases. Even then only at renewal with them including a sub activated by the installation of the firmware.

Ok but leomes7i and linesman were talking about the V8 and I was just providing information regarding that box and the instructions linesman posted.
Yeah but you commented you didnt know about the Viarks, so i also was just providing information to that comment.
It is supposed to have, but it kicks in if the current server goes offline totally im told.
So if a group of channels go off but the server is still online it is what it is. If the server has an issue lets say a network failure the other server is supposed to kick in.

Ok GT media V8 arriving tomorrow just need a heads up on what I need to do.
GTMedia V8 UHD Mars_Note:
1. Mars software does not support USB upgraded old UI software
2. Before the old software upgrade Mars, back up the database and data
3. Mars does not support old software channel lists
4. List of SDX program supported by Mars
5.V8UHD MARS is not allowed to introduce the V8X Mars channel list
6.It can be updated for satellite users, if the user receives other signals, do not update, wait for the next version
7.If the HD program has no sound, please try to modify Settings->System Settings->Digital Audio->RAW

1.To upgrade the v8uhd mars firmware from the original v8uhd firmware, you need to copy the backdoor.key and v8uhd mars firmware files to the usb root directory.
2.then enter the "upgrade by usb" menu, select the upgrade mode as 'All code', do upgrade.

GTMedia V8 UHD Mars Firmware Update
When you do this it will generate a new box ID which you'll need to give your supplier, once you receive your cline just put it on the USB go into USB on receiver menu then click on the file and it will ask you if you want to update click on ok or whatever it is and the line will be loaded.
