What size micro sd card?

Morning guys
Im going to get a micro sd card to transfer timeshift and epg on to try and take some strain of my usb, what size of micro sd would be sufficient please for this

I got a sandisk 16gb micro SD in Argos for £6.04 at the weekend. It's more than enough to run the time shift and epg functions. 8gb is enough but it was £9.99 in Argos.

Well worth fitting an SD card as it takes the strain off the USB storage. 16gb means I can set time shift to maximum too
 
Brilliant thanks for that iv just reserved the same one for pickup later, sorry to be a pain but what is the best way to transfer timeshift and epg over to it, i am just going to keep my usb for recordings but i need to convert to ext 4 as having problems with playback and blue circle

Hi im trying to change the Location of the timeshift to my sd card but it won't allow me to change from /media /hdd/timeshift / any ideas why?...

Go into menu - setup - timeshift. Highlight the current timeshift location, which is /media/hdd/timeshift and press ok. On the select location list go to <list of storage devices>, select your sd card as the storage device and press blue to create bookmark. Go to the bookmarks at the bottom and choose the newly created bookmark, which on mine shows as /media/mmcblk0p1/. You will now be able to set the timeshift to save onto your sd card.

Picons. Press green then red to remove plugins. Go into picons and delete whatever is in there. Reboot box. Press green then green to download plugins. Go into feeds and choose picons.xyz and download it. Reboot box. Press green then green and go into picons and scroll down list and choose srp full 400x170 370x140 dark on transparent. Select this to install and set sd card as the location. Happy to help. This drove me round the bend for ages!!

Hi I'm looking for a micro sd card do u have the Catalouge number so I can get the same card or do u know what class the card is ?

Just search argos for SanDisk 16GB micro sd card. They have the 8GB for £9.99. The 16GB has a third off and is cheaper at £6.04.

I went down to Argos today to pick up another one and discovered they were back to full price. Maybe too many people rushed out and ordered one after seeing this thread.

Anyway, Sainsburys are selling the 16gb sandisk one for £6.40 but it's not the ultra. (Just the standard one) They're also selling sandisk cruzer blade USB 32gb for £8. Or 8gb for £4.80.

Now, let's see how quickly they sell out of them or put the prices back up. If you're in Bangor NI, don't bother with the 32gb blades. I just bought them all.
