Hi Whoosh,

First time poster in your thread, firstly wanted to say a MASSIVE thank you to you and your beta-tester(s) for all your hard work. Like many others I've read here, ditched to ditch sly for a ZGEMMA box a couple of days ago and had it out of the box and up and running in very short order.

Your instructions are very clear, and thoroughly explained so even a fully qualified and certified moron like myself can follow them problem free (only minor issue I had was getting the box to flash - had to reinsert the us b3.0 stick a couple of time in the rear slot before it worked).

I do however have 1 question and perhaps 1 problem if I may.

THE QUESTION: You mentioned that at 4am a channel scan and epg update is triggered - which is awesome, however this turns my TV on when doing so, not a big issue except when it's the tv in your bedroom and being woken at 4am isn't too great - anyway the CEC could be switched off for his process?? If so the wife will be very happy :)

THE PROBLEM: in the kodi plugin I downloaded the exodus addon successfully but whenever I click OK on it, I am returned to the channel I was watching and every key on the remote only produces the crossed circle icon in the top right of the screen. The only choice I have is to power down the box and restart. Is this the addon falling over or an issue with my installation of your build?

Got to say I'm a complete newbie. Box arrive yesterday and in truth I dreaded the set up. Read you guide slowly reading at least twice each step and the truth it took me longer to format the usb flash drive than it did to set up build. A big thanks. You made it so easy nothing better than clear guide with picture :D

I have he same issues with exodus but it no big deal thats what ire sticks for ;)

Again thanks for he time you spent putting this together is much appreciated
 
Malbrega......There seems to be an issue with the Kodi add on Exodus.
I have tried loading this on both the h2s and the 2s via wooshbuild and neither want to work and get the same issue you mention.
I have used the older version of kodi and the updated version and both are the same.
I have also tried loading it without wooshbuild on the h2s and still have the same end result.
It is more likely to be an issue possibly with openatv 5.1 as wooshbuild does not alter any of the kodi direct utilities.
It does seem strange that Kodi put a screen note up for Exodus but then fails to install it.
I then tried to load it on a MQX android box and again for some reason I could not get it working.
I gave up at this point as life is too short !!!!!......lol
 
Thank you so much for taking the time to look into this Benijofar, really appreciate the effort you went through. Nice to know it's now just me. I'll remove the addon and try another :)
 
On a whole Kodidirect is very very hit and miss. Something either work well, sort of works or just doesn't work. Then to top it off sometimes what did work will stop working! IPTV Player, although not "Kodi" has very stable fast streams so is great for Movies and TV Series, but as far as I know there is no live TV.

You can turn HDMI CEC off and just use your TV remote too. I have just set my times to 10:00pm and 10:05pm to stop the very same thing happening with the TV coming on. I suppose we can't have it all.

ive managed to find and change the timing of the channel scan in bouquets but struggling to find the options for the EPG any pointers?

As long as.your tv in your room is either a smart one or you have an android box rinning kodi you can connect with ease.
I followed a guide posted on this site by kiddacs for the smart TV and I read one using a vu+ PVR client add-on on kodi. Try them
 
I have just had the same problem today regarding step 4. No builds showing to select from. Can anyone help please?

You can do a channel scan and a crossepg scan whch will refresh it. I posted yesterday about removing the picons installed and trying again, I am not sure why it doesn't always work for people, check that you choose srp picons and select the usb for storage. You can also try a system update at that is now refreshing my picons.

On a whole the image is fully configured except for the tv region. Channel scan and epg are set to auto update at 4am and 4:35 am every day.

I am thinking about putting picons in the build somewhere but not to sue yet.

Can u help, I'm stuck at step 7
my line has this format

I've tried pasting it as this, and taking the words out, but still cant get the channels

Go to plugins menu and download dream-explorer plugin.
Once installed go to usr then keys and press ok.
A list of cam files open up which you can edit the example with your own information.
Once edited you may need to restart the cam in softcam panel.

You need to change the format if it's nline CWS = abcdefgh1234.abcd.abc 12345 abc1234 123456789 if it's cline it needs to be C:abcdefgh1234.abcd.abc 12345 abc1234 123456789
